October favorites! I enjoyed October a lot, even though the month was a roller coaster of emotions because of variety of events. The month didn’t go by fast which is a relief- I have a feeling November is gonna go super fast!
There were a few things that I used a lot over the last month and truly enjoyed.
Revlon Lash Potion Grow Luscious Volume & Length Mascara in 001 Blackest Black
Its been a while since I have really liked a mascara, and the Lash Potion takes the lead in the many mascaras I have used. After my summer vacation my lashes started acting up, some broke, some went missing, they didn’t look well with any mascara. Since this doesn’t happen often to me I became paranoid and just randomly picked up the Lash Potion because of previous reviews. I m so pleased! Love wearing it, stays on perfectly and makes my lashes look amazing! It gives volume and length, doesn’t flake and is easy to take off.
BareMinerals Ready Eyeshadow 4.0 in ‘The Rare Find’
I already did a post about this eye shadow plate. To sum up its Amazing! So easy and convenient to use and the colours are great for fall and winter season. They are warm shades but with a slight cool tone within them. I love this because I prefer cool tones on myself then super deep warm tones. I usually use the brown or brick colour all over my lids and the gold on my inner eyes. Haven’t used the green but that’s because I have MAC’s Sumptuous Olive which is almost, if not exactly, the same colour and I use that instead.
The Body Shop Honey Bronzer in 02 fair matte
I actually thought that when summer is gone I will stop wearing bronzer but that has not been the case. I have become so used to having a bit of contour on the cheek bones that I use the bronzer on a daily basis. Its not overly pigmented so over using it doesn’t happen. It’s not too warm or orange- its perfect for my skin tone and lasts a while. I just use it to contour my cheeks and nothing else.
Mac Blush Ombre in Vintage Grape (Limited Edition)
I love using this blush with the bronzer. It gives my cheeks such a beautiful lift and radiance. I have the blush for a few years but I never really got into it, mostly because it didn’t stay long on my cheeks which was very disappointing. With wearing it with the bronzer, I don’t know how, but stays on the whole day. Loving the colour mix of pink/fuchsia and purple and its cool toned!
Nars lipstick in Dolce Vita
Love this lipstick, and when done I will repurchase it! It’s a easy colour to wear- one of those that you don’t need a mirror to put on. It’s on my project finish list and even though it’s not a very opaque colour, getting through it has been a bit challenging. But it’s okay because I enjoy using it. Its my ‘my lips but better’ lipstick of the moment.
Illamasqua Glamore Lipstick in Minx
Love love love! I m so sad that Illamasqua isn’t selling their product in Canada or America anymore, because I have fallen in love with their products. This is the perfect nude/mauve/rosy lip colour and it lasts so well on me and doesn’t dry out my lips (even though it’s a mate lipstick) and doesn’t fade weird. Its my Kylie Jenner lipstick 😉
Mac lipstick in ‘What Joy!’ (satin finish and limited edition)
When I wanted a super dark lipstick I opted for this lipstick. Mostly because it hasn’t been getting much love from me and its perfect for the season. It’s hard to wear because its not very forgiving if you mess it up. But it lasts well and stains the lips in a nice berry colour.
Rusk Thickr Myst- Thickening myst for fine or thin hair
I have become obsessed with finding products that give my hair volume. In general, I have become very concerned with my hair and given it more attention- putting on hair masks, buying special brushes, different shampoos and products. I have seen a good change in my hairs volume when I use the spray after washing my hair. I spare a generous amount throughout my hair, focusing mostly on my roots and then putting my hair in a towel to air dry. It give my hair volume and texture.
